Why did we choose a water jet nozzle?
After much consideration and brainstorming, we have decided to choose an item under the household appliance category where it is included in daily life. Since we have aimed for something that can be used in daily life, we have thought of the convenience it will be able to bring. Hence, we have come out with a water jet nozzle where it is light, portable and easy to use.
It is a great alternative to the bulky, heavy and expensive pressure washer with the exact same function. To use, simply insert the nozzle onto a garden hose and you will have your very own cleaning appliance by your fingertips that you can use anywhere and anytime.

Reflection
For the second week of ICPD lessons, our group learnt how to evaluate research using the Meta-cognition model of thinking. This includes Analysis, Comparison and contrast, Inference and Interpretation, Generating Possibilities and Evaluation.
- Analysis - To identify the main purpose of the research, identify the authors behind the research, determine how relevant the source is and the methodology of the source.
- Comparison and contrast - Taught us what are the similarities and differences among the different articles that we found.
- Inference and Interpretation - It helps us to separate between facts from opinions, make meaning of data and identify major findings
- Generating Possibilities - It helps us to come up with as much ideas as possible
- Evaluation - To decide what is to be evaluated as well as the importance of prioritization of the criteria
Additionally, we also learnt how to do a literature review. Literature review is about books or findings that will benefit the reader and address issues or concepts that he or she may pose. It's main goals are to supply a critical evaluation and ultimately, able to allow the reader to form a summary out of them. This is because it allows the reader to identify knowledge gaps by showing limitations and theories and different points of views.
The team also learnt that Singapore Polytechnic provides us with an array of online learning resources such as SP Library. It essentially holds thousands of articles or writings by expert and they are free of charge to use. The lecturer has also gave us a step-by-step guide on how to fully utilize SP Library. He also added that the team should clarify the doubts if there is any.
